Canon 780: Advantages And Disadvantages

Perhaps one of the best photo printers is the Canon 780. It has made a name for itself in recent years due to crisp printing quality, affordable prices and crystal clear user interface. It is easy to handle and quick to print. Despite the overall great reviews however, there are some whose experience of this printer are not completely positive.

Advantages of the printer

The main advantage of Canon 780 is its sleek design and great photo printing options. It has a quick start-up time and it is easy to use it as there are no difficult steps involved where you have to worry about synchronizing different parts of the printer and checking the settings. It can print directly from cameras, camcorders and memory cards. The prints are strong enough to last 100 years and thus are much better than an average lab print that wear out in a decade or so. Auto image correction and red-eye correction are also in-built eatures which have made many fans of Canon Selphy 780.

Another great product is the Canon Pixma 780. This all in one printer has an output of 25 ppm black and 17 ppm color prints. It can fax up to Super G3 speed in color or black-and-white. Scanning features are equally good with up to 2,400 x 4,800 dpi resolution and 48-bit color depth. There is a 35-page auto document feeder and USB 2.0 and PictBridge interface provide great printing options.

It can also be configured with Canon 780 camera where you can directly print photos instead of using any intermediary PC interface.

Disadvantages

Some critics point out the disadvantages of Canon 780 printer. There have been some issues with paper feeding where the printer system is unable to detect that you have inserted the new batch. It prompts you that you have run out of paper while it still has many sheets stacked into the documents feeder. Newer models of printers have rectified this issue with improved paper detection system.

There have been no complaints about the efficiency of the printer and overall it seems that the printing speed is good and users are satisfied with its operations. Some complaints are about the noise generated during the printing process. The noise can be a distraction in offices where employees need extreme dedication to their projects. This problem too has been taken care of in the newer models of the product.

The product overall has no major disadvantages when compared to its counterparts. Its price is also relatively affordable and it is easily purchased over the internet. Its advantages have truly overshadowed the couple of shortcomings this product has.
