HP 21 Ink

Replacing used ink cartridges with the new ones can cost you lots of money, particularly if you are using the HP 21 ink cartridge. This is the reason why most companies sell kits to replenish empty ink cartridges. Not only do these kits help you save money, but can also reduce wastage. HP 21 ink cartridges are much easier to refill than you may imagine. All you will require is an ink refill for HP 21 22 cartridges, empty ink cartridges and some old newspapers. After trying it out for the first time, you may think why you didn’t experience with it earlier.

Once you are ready, take out the HP label from the cartridge’s top. This is a sticker that has the cartridge number written on it. Keep it on one side. Now prepare a work surface for trouble-free clean up. Place the newspaper over the area and take out the disposable gloves included in the refill ink. Wear these gloves so that the ink doesn’t stain your hands or clothes while you are refilling it.

After that, take out the syringe that comes with the refill kit and remove the lid from that particular color of ink that you want to replenish. Now push the syringe into the ink and pull back the nozzle so that the ink draws into syringe. There is no need to fill the whole syringe; half to three quarters should be okay.

Now put the needle into any of the tiny refill openings on the ink cartridge. Gently inject ink into the ink cartridge until it is full. In case the ink begins to overflow from the refill openings or the printer head, stop immediately and take out some ink from the cartridge using the syringe.

Next, put the HP sticker on the refill openings. If ink seems to be leaking out of the cartridge, you can use black electrical tape to cover the original sticker. Now put the cartridge back in the printer and try printing out a trial page. A few prints will be required before the ink starts printing properly. Once you are sure that the cartridge is functioning perfectly, you can take out your gloves and clean the work surface.

Repeat the same steps when you want to refill your HP 21 ink cartridge again. Always make sure that you are using the right color in the refill opening and remember to wash your syringe between every refill color.
