HP Deskjet 6940 Review

The hp deskjet 6940 is a color printer that has been designed for home as well as office users. It is suited for offices that don’t have a heavy workload and have low volume printing requirements but have to get a colorful printout sometimes. For example, you might use this in the office of a business executive who will have minimal requirements but might print a favorite snapshot with it sometimes. However, the hp deskjet 6940 is most suited for kids attending college or university due it low price and excellent results.   The printer has a low profile and compact design making it fit to be put in even small spaces on the office desk or on the crowded computer table in a college dormitory. You won’t have to make extra space for the hp deskjet 6940 printer and accommodating in tight spaces won’t be a problem.

A negative point regarding the amount of space that the printer occupies is that fact the paper output/input tray protrudes out of the front and it doesn’t fold in. Many printers have paper trays that fold in further reducing the amount of space that they take. The paper tray of the hp 6940 deskjet doesn’t move which can be quiet a problem if you have really limited space. The façade of the printer is silver and black giving it a sleek and boxy look. The main control panel of the printer is towards the upper left side and it contains the power button and printing controls. An LED display has been integrated in the hp deskjet printer 6940 which indicates the printing progress and other information such as low ink levels in the cartridges.

The paper input tray has a capacity to hold up to 150 papers at one time. You can also buy a larger tray that can hold 250 papers. The front cover of the printer can be easily flipped to view the two cartridges. This feature comes in handy when you have to change the cartridges. Just flip the front cover, take out the two cartridges and put in new ones. You will have to change the cartridges if you need to print a high resolution image. One of the best features of this printer by hp is the USB interface which directly connects to your camera. This port is known as the PictBridge port and it prints images directly from a camera. This feature allows the printer to print photos without having to turn on your pc. You can also connect the camera and the printer through a Bluetooth connection for wireless printing.  You must have a Bluetooth enabled camera which will connect with the printer through a Bluetooth adapter inserted in the USB Port of the printer.
