The A3 Colour Laser Printer

Customers are often confused when buying a A3 colour laser printer. It is often said that it is more difficult to purchase a printer than a computer. This perception however is not true. Computers are far more complex than a printer and an average printer does not have many technical specifications to worry about. Certain things however need to be considered and you can follow these guidelines to make the purchase process easier.

Size

Size does matter when you consider buying A3 colour laser. There are many sizes and dimensions of A3 colour laser printers available and portable varieties are also available that you can pack in your bags just as you would your laptop computer. You can also opt for a laser printer with average size and dimensions if you intent to use it in your office. Travel printers come in two basic sizes. The first type is those printers that can be easily packed into a bag. The second type is little larger but still smaller than its ordinary desktop counterparts. You can easily decide between the two sizes by taking into account your needs and whether you need to carry the printer around with you.

Printing capacity

This is even more important than size. While selecting an A3 printer, you can consider its printing capacity or the pages per minute ratio. A small printer will not print more than three to four pages in a minute and this ratio is sufficient for use in traveling or business trips. If you however are interested in using a printer that has a better output then you can choose printers with an increased page per minute count. Many printers from HP and Canon offer output of up to 20 pages per minute. HP H470 and Canon iP100 Mobile Photo Printer will also be good for you if your printing needs are higher and you want crisp print quality.

Weight

Weight and size are directly proportional to each other. If you cannot carry heavy weights due to travel restrictions or medical issues then it is advisable that you use mobile printers. They are much lighter and you can easily carry them in your luggage without any worries of developing backaches or breaching weight restrictions.

Prices

Prices of an A3 printer are generally not much higher. You can easily purchase equipment that is available for as low as $150. Some higher end products can be expensive and in the range of $500 but this completely depends on your printing requirements. There is enough variety that you can easily purchase a portable printer with satisfactory performance and sufficient output.
